Dr. Kristensen is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with the Boise Orthopaedic Clinic.

He specializes in surgery for hip and knee arthritis including total joint replacements and joint resurfacing. He is known for exceptional outcomes stemming from 17 years of experience, extreme attention to detail and use of advanced computer assisted technology.

This computer assisted technology ensures the best placement and alignment of the replaced joint. In addition, it limits damage to the bones, limits the size of the surgical incision, limits blood loss and results in faster recovery times with less pain.

See Dr. Kristensen’s website and interview with KTVB at www.boisehipandkneecenter.com for more information.

He enjoys educating his patients with the information they need to make informed decisions regarding their health and ability to optimize their level of function. He believes that early physical therapy intervention for his surgical patients to reduced swelling and restore mobility is crucial to their optimal recovery.

To help manage his time and give the best care possible, Dr. Kristensen is assisted in clinic and surgery by Ben Kerns, PA-C. Since Dr. Kristensen is in high demand, it takes about 2 weeks to get in to see him but his assistant, Ben can typically get patients in for an evaluation in less than a week.

Dr. Kristensen lives a very active life-style and can occasionally be seen on the tennis court or in the Boise foothills on his mountain bike. He also loves spending time with his golden retrievers, Luke and Abby.

Our patients that have seen Dr. Kristensen state that he is very knowledgeable, personable and concerned with getting them back to what is important to them. They recommend him with no reservations.
